SHANE  CRONIN

Shane has enjoyed 10 years of playing professional Baseball. Drafted by the San Diego Padres in 1996; Shane started his professional career on a high note. Earning MVP Honors and winning the Arizona League Championship, along with earning Topps Minor League Player of the year, and Topps Player of the Month for the month of August in which he batted .450, (45-100), 6 homeruns and 36 RBI's on his way to breaking single season RBI record, and tying the HR record.  Drafted as a 3rd/1st basemen, he made the conversion to catcher finishing up in AA with the New York Yankees organization, being part of another championship season where they won the Eastern League, under manager Luis Sojo. After playing for seven seasons, Shane spent the next 4 years in the Army, stationed at Ft. Lewis and spending a year in Iraq. After his enlistment, Baseball was back in his life. Shane started doing personal instruction to give players the development that is needed to succeed in the game of Baseball. In 2008, Shane went back to play in The Golden Baseball League, and played the following three seasons in Chico, Ca, and for the Victoria Seals. Shane has been doing hitting and position specific instruction the last 12 years. Specializing in hitting and catching, and offers pitching and fielding lessons.

Shane is the lead instructor at Cronin Athletics: specializing in Baseball, and Speed & Agility.  Shane has been involved in Sports his whole life, finalizing his high school senior year with a 1st Team (all SPSL) Quarterback, leading his team to a playoff berth for the first time in 12 years, and single season passing records.  Along with an All-State Baseball season that finalized a record breaking career in Baseball.  He leads a family influenced business that uses all the benefits and attributes that Sports can provide, to provide a positive and an exemplary template for young athletic students to flourish.
